Caramel Recipe

  • 2 Cups sugar
  • 2 Cups dark corn syrup
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Mix ingredients in large saucepan.  Stir over low heat until the sugar is dissolved.  Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil (approx. 25 minutes).  Remove the pan from heat and gradually stir in another cup of heavy cream.  Return to heat.

Insert skewers into apples and dip into melted caramel.
